The only thing I remember about Oklahoma was tent city at Fort Sill, Lawton OK in Vietnam days. I had no idea a human being could go that long without taking a shower. I wonder where all those guys are. I remember every one of them.

This is the shake down cruise. Being critical before longer trips. So far only problem is the beer could be colder.

I love my mini lite

I set expectations very low, paid very little and what a pleasant surprise. The plan was to get the wifey interested before laying out six figures on the beomuth 5000 horsepower complicated chunk of metal with a thousand things to go wrong. I have hauled this little camper all over the country in my underpowered truck hitting every curb charging up the water heater with no water in it, left the water from campsite hooked up on full tilt for a week, forgot to winterize and a thousand other mistakes and everything is still working perfectly. Check out what happens when u hook ur car mirror in the awning arm. This thing is indestructible! I'm going to run the wheels off it then have it cremated. What a piece of rugged engineering.

Ahh. Good old Fort Sill. Trained there to be a fire direction control man for the marine corps. The squad bays were horrible but we got to eat at the officer mess hall for some reason. So that was nice. Oh and I'll never forget getting trailered around in the horse trailers between classes!

Stationed at both Tinker ('73-'75) and Altus ('92-95). Every state has good and bad . . .

Spent last weekend at the lake in El Reno, we had a Field Trial down in Minco.

Big storm came through Friday afternoon, for a little while it looked like we might have to take cover.

Nice weekend. Everything worked as advertised. We stayed at Little Axe campground. Best to make reservation. Sites 3 -14, 33 -49 are lake front.

In your trip though Oklahoma be sure to go by and see the cliff Geronimo rode his horse off of. Awesome. I guess he was our country's first air cavalryman

We live on Oklahoma after 37 years in Virginia Beach, VA. Just bought the Mini Lite to explore the central UsS and further west.

Tinker

I was living in Del City 72-76 a stones throw from Tinker. The best thing there was Hacienda Hernandes Those burritos were outrageously good. I would swear they mixed illegal drugs in the sauce. Went through burrito withdrawal when they stationed me at Ft Belvoir dimwit army hospital.

Yep, lived in Del City for awhile, then moved to Midwest City. Remember going to Lake Stanley Draper and my wife's white bikini turned orange.
