Michigan city has a nice campground or a Walmart or Mijers parking lot. Also there is Indiana Dunes state park with water and electric or the Federal one with no facilities.

I just made a trip through that area. We stayed at Elkhart Campground in Elkhart IN. It was right off the highway. Lots of pull through for some really big rigs. Only spent one night, had no problems.

Try Elkhart Campground just North of the interstate. I chose it for a stop over in a couple weeks on the way to Portland, OR. If you stop there, you've got to eat at the Chubby Trout just South of the interstate. My favorite place in that area.

Take I69 south from I94 then west on 80/90 toll road. Take CR 17 exit go straight off toll exit thru stop light that will be CR 4 and the campground is about 4 miles on left.

We got to Elkhart Campground about a half hour ago (or in overly tired 3 year old kid terms- about 24 melt downs ago). The kids are in bed; we are slightly off level; and it's bed time.

Up tomorrow to head down to the RV Hall of Fame and then onward to Sycamore for visits into Chicago.

i vote elkhart c/g as well if doing the 80/90 thing across indiana. Hit the RV hall of fame if you get a chance. Maybe a Mfr tour if you can time it right. . doing long term there right now, but reside in howell. and have family down here. Chicago only about 100 miles away! If you're doing 94. then i'd suggest warren dunes SP over towards bridgeman. Haven't done the c/g personally, but hit the park thousands of times as a kid. (and again this past summer). good for a swim.
