We live half way between Chicago & Detroit,,, and we are still alive !!!
Kalamazoo is 151 miles from Chicago & 153 miles from Detroit on I94,,,
The HWY I hate the most !!! More trucks than cars !!!
I would probably check out Old US 12,,, don't like traveling Interstates,,,
Unless I must !!!

LOL, yeah I hear Al Capone is still alive. Stereotypes are alive and well apparently.
OP, if you are still looking for a nice, cheap convenient campground close to Sycamore and I-88, consider the Big Rock Campground in Big Rock, Il. I live right around the corner from there. It is a brand new cg and is run by some very nice folks. Level sites and I think there are sone pull-throughs. It is minutes from I-88 and about 20 minutes from Sycamore. I think it is like $20/night for non-residents. Here's the link

Curious, what WiFi service plan are you using to work from the road? Fast enough? Enough data in the plan?

Thanks

Parks and Rec

Turkeyville can accomodate your rig, and they will work with you on arrival. Plus there is a great spot to eat within walking distance. You exit I69 near Marshall. Also there is a good park near Niles. Spaulding Lake Campground.

Good Luck.

Thanks

I have a 20gb shared AT&T plan that my wife and my's phones are on as well as a wifi hotspot.

I also have a 18gb data plan with Verizon with a Jetpack (aka hotspot).

We got caught with a bunch of updates early on and burned through a lot of data. My AT&T billing cycle was July 6-Aug 6 and I used just shy of 22gb.

My Verizon plan runs something like the July 16-Aug 16. As of now, I've used something like 12gb on it.

We don't do videos, but I do work fulltime, there is lots of Facebook and Pinterest, and visiting forums (obviously ). My wife is also trying to get a grasp on homeschooling and has been working a lot to figure that out. And then there is uploading photos to Flickr and blogging.

We use wifi when we can- but, as expected, it has been crap at the campgrounds. Stone Mountain's was OK, but it dropped me and hung up a lot. The best wifi that I had was at the Fernbank Museum in Atlanta.

We've stayed at Turkeyville twice and we like the park and staff a lot. You can see the restaurant from most of the park. Wild turkeys and donkeys and people come by bus to see the show in the theater. As an aside, we also like Dark Horse Brewery in Marshall.
