Thank you for the last few replies! We are booked at JSI SP from May 14th to the 19th, and Lake of the Ozarks SP from the 19th till the 22nd. We made reservations as soon as the booking window opened for those dates, and we have a great looking site on the water’s edge at Lake of the Ozarks. We do want to try and make quick visits to a few other parks as a reference for potential return camping trips. Still planning on bring the motorcycle for a few days of riding (checking out other parks), but haven’t determined any ride routes/destinations as of yet. I find many of the best days of riding starts with heading-off in a general direction and the more lost you feel the better the day gets!

I live in Lebanon, Missouri, about 30 minutes from Lake O. We have camped at the state park there several times and it's a nice park. The road to the campsites down by the water is kind of narrow and curvy, and there are a few trees right next to the road on some of the curves which can make navigating through the park a little tricky with a long camper, just FYI. The whole area around Johnson Shut-ins is beautiful, we camped there before the reservoir breach, but have been there a couple of times since while camping in the area. Definitely check out Elephant Rocks State Park, and the Eminence area along the Current and Jacks Fork rivers. If you're into canoeing, the Current River is awesome. Many outfitters in the area. Also the Town of Ironton is worth a visit. There is a large mine beneath the town, and they offer tours of the mine which also has a large underground lake where you can take boat rides. I still have family in northern Iowa, and we're all big Vikings/Twins fans. (note my user name) Enjoy your trip, if you have any questions, feel free to ask or shoot me a PM. You never know, we could be camping at the lake ourselves that weekend.
