.
just got home from an overnight at this park - very nice, quiet, but filling up for the weekend (wanted to stay 2 nites but all 40 full service sites reserved & no cancellations)

this would be an ideal destination for camper/GOLFERS as there's a very nice looking course that runs alongside the park ($25-$45 greens fees)

the park is just off I-10, just East (2 exits) of Sealy, Tx and walking distance to the Brazos River - would be a good overnight for those driving along I-10 too

near the town of San Felipe - guess it's where S.F. Austin brought the 1st group to settle Texas

we recommend..(tried uploading pics but somehow can't - will try again later)

That's been on my list forever. But like you said, it fills up quickly and far in advance on weekends. Guess the Brazos River is a popular place!

Stayed there about 10 years ago. It was nice then. Played golf too. Well, let me rephrase that, I went to play golf there but that was not what some call what I did!

I highly recommend reservations when wanting to stay there. Fairly close to Houston and it's millions.

This park has been on my list as well. Fly over it all the time. Very beautiful park with lots of nice trees.
