1,000's of loud motorcycles all day and all night. Every place is crowed. I would not get near there T that time.

We just got back from the beautiful Black Hills and everyone was busy preparing for the rally. We were told several times they are expecting over a million bikers, and they were all ready coming in. Our campground fees for the site we had would be going from $38 a night to $98, which apparently is pretty much the normal. I can't tell you how much we enjoyed the beautiful Black Hills, and I think we did about everything in the week we were there, my favorite being the zipping get at Rushmore. Our campground owners had told us in March when we made the reservations to avoid going later than the 3rd week of July if we weren't there for the rally. LOVE that beautiful area.

So happy to hear you enjoyed the beautiful Black Hills. We're probably biased since we live in South Dakota, but we think the Black Hills are one of the greatest places in our Country. That's not to say there aren't MANY other wonderful places in America!!

Most of the people who live in Sturgis usually move in with relatives for the rally and rent out their houses for $000.00

I agree with you, the Black Hills, the prairies, Badlands all hold a special place in my memories. We are from NJ and never get to see such beautiful natural beauty that you have all around you, we just have the ocean.

I'll admit it's a beautiful area. I lived in SD for two years so I got a chance to visit Mt Rushmore, Sturgis,Lead and Spear fish. Then I made a return trip in the 70s now I'd like to do another next year. I want to see how many things that where started back in the 70s if they are done. Later RJD

Hi Denise,
We are going to be there next week and zip lining is on my wife's wish list. May I ask where you went and did you need a reservation?
Thanks!

Ramsfan, it is at keystone on the edge of town. There is the 800ft one and a 1.5 hr 3 phase one. I heard there is going to be one at sturgis, but we didn't see it and didn't see an ad in the literature we had. Hope you enjoy it.

No reservations required. Of course we bought the photos they took, along the way. 😎
