The reason your cell phone wouldn't work is the train and it's horn created a disturbance in the earth's magnetic field and a small black hole formed disrupting communications. It also pulled some spurious comments in as well.

Thanks I was curious as to why this was happening also, your explanation sounds dead on.

Evidently you can't even believe the FRA/GOV website and the documents they publish.

The phone mystery. The other night as we sat around our campfire, someone drank all of our wine, so yesterday we drove in to Cape Girardeau to replenish our supply. While we were in town my smart phone got smart again and knew our exact location.
While we were in town we checked out The Landing RV Park. I was unimpressed and it was mostly seasonal or permanent campers.
After getting back to our campsite and putting away our ďgroceriesĒ I checked my phone and once again it was lost, it thought we were in Hillsboro, MO. Hillsboro is about 80 or 90 miles north of the state park. This morning the phone has my location as Alto Pass, IL.

BUGS!! Yesterday afternoon we were inundated with Lady Bugs. They seem to be attracted to white RVís. Those darn things have no problem getting into a trailer. I am so glad we have a central vacuum system, it makes sucking them up from the ceiling so easy.

Those black dots you see are the lady bugs.

TRAINS! Last night we had two trains pass by, one at 2:31AM and the other at 4:07AM. One train blew his horn normally but the other didnít blow his at all. Iíll never complain about train noise in Goshen again.

Even with the trains and the bugs we are having a great time camping. So far the weather has been perfect. Although we arenít having a spectacular fall, many of the trees have been cooperating and are becoming beautiful.

We are cutting our camping trip short and we will winterize the trailer this morning and head for home. The state park issued a fire ban due to drought conditions yesterday couple that with the Lady Bug infestation and the trains passing by and it’s more than we want to deal with. The Lady Bugs have already caused a number of other campers to leave earlier than planned.

We camp at Greenbrier River Campground in WV. A coal train runs about every hour across the river on the other bank. We think it is cool. That same track runs through the tunnel created by John Henry.
