Travel on US 180 in Texas

Has Anyone ever traveled US 180 from Hobbs, NM to Fort Wort? Would you recommend it over I-20?

Yes if you want a slower trip. The road is good but not on par with an interstate.

I don't know about that road, but not-interstate doesn't necessarily mean slower. In Texas even the small roads have a speed limit of 70. I limit my towing speed to 60, so small or interstate is the same to me, as long as clearance is good. (I came to my first low-clearance yesterday: 12" shorter than my rig. It was a turn under a road. Fortunately I could just go down to the next underpass about a mile farther where the height was good.)

Depends on how fast you want to get to where you are going. 180 is a 2 lane road, so slower traveling. If I was going from Hobbs to Ft Worth, I would take 180 to Synder, get on 84 and take it to I-20.

If it was me I would also get on the interstate asap and I travel at 65 MPH.
