Well, it is currently 88 in Seguin, TX.

But Texas weather is screwy. What part are you headed to?

Go ahead...rub it in...as if the weather isn't enough you had to add the gas price in there as well!!!

Don't come north. Rockford gas is $3.12 and it only made to 57 degF today.

No worries we are headed south to San Antonio Dec 5 we will go that way. The weather in Texas sounds good. It's been enjoyable here a lot of rain though. Just hope the weather does not get crazy before we go south! I have heated tanks and elbows and if I keep the heat going should be ok until then...

I live an hour east of San Antonio. We usually have a freeze, or close to it, around Thanksgiving.

Current gas prices run between $2.85 and $3.15, depending on how close to the interstate you are.

Ha I lived in Texas, Houston for 18 years and we stayed at Braunig Lake Campground last year. At one point it got down to 22 which is cold for there but nothing bad. We love the San Antonio area....

Wife is scared to get to close to border. Some tell me no problems and others say hell no.

Weather

I don't know about the Valley. I lived in Laredo for 17 or so years and just moved to the San Antonio area in June.
I lived in the North side of Laredo and never had a issue. Nothing stolen or broke into. They did have an execution style hit years ago when the cartel wars started but that's it. It had its problems that any other city that size does. Car theft was a problem but they corrected that.
My son went through high school down there. Graduated , received an athletic scholarship to a major university and did well. He's currently in a Firefighters academy.
If the company I work for asked me to move back to the border at there expense like they did for my move here I would.
I'm not saying it's perfectly safe. No city that size is perfectly safe and stuff can happen. I just think the violence was and is over hyped by the media.

And let's not forget Christmas of 2004, when we got 13 inches of snow, south of Houston! :O
