Just got back from Spring Break, 5 nights at Lake Tombigbee (Alabama-Coushatta Tribe of Texas in Livingston, TX) miles away from everything; including Wal-Mart. Next up is Mountain View, AR April 9-14; then the Crawfish Festival in Breaux Bridge, LA May 2-5, SC-NC-VA May 6-June 5, followed by Yellowstone NP, Mt Rushmore, etc June 16-July22. Aug, Sep, Oct TBD...Thanksgiving in Florida.

I'm loading up to move "back" into the RV over the next couple of weeks after winter volunteering at Custer State Park (CSP). I'll be here through September, so if you're heading through CSP, look me up! It's a cool park - cool enough I took a break from full-timing to spend the winter here - buffalo covered with snow are real beautiful. I'm hoping to do some boondocking on my days off in the national forests and grasslands around here.

Monday we are leaving for Eugene, OR. and then on to Gold Beach, OR. to go camping with the two youngest granddaughters. Will try and work in some Salmon fishing.

Our plans for late August/early Sept.is a trip up thru Sault Ste. Marie, Sudbury, ON, Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City,New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and back to Wisc. via ME,NH,MA,NY,PA,OH,IN,IL, and back to Appleton, WI. 3,100+/-mi., 14+ days.

We're headin out third week in April for, IN for some trailer work, warranty & just visiting b4 headin back home for a reload before we start our big summer trip (AR, Tn, PA, NY, CA) then home till we figger out where to next. Lookin for about 12-15 weeks camping/travel time this year. Got lots of places & people to see, a new fly rod to break in too.

Back to Blanco State Park in April for the Annual Custom/Vintage Car Show. Tentative May trip to Bandera TX. before we head out on a get-away-from-the-heat western trip June & July. Looking forward to putting the new 5er through the paces...

we are headed back to Fort Pickens, Pensacola Beach Fl, we like to get up at dawn and go see whats swimming in the water. Seen Starfish, sharks wave riding in the surf and best of all a pod of bottle nose dolphin playing real close to my wife!

Next trip will be local in Austin. I do about 4 BBQ cook-offs for various fund raisers each year. Next up Oak Hill Youth Sports Association BBQ cook-off.

Me and a couple of friends are headed for a guys weekend to Dockery Lake Campground in North Georgia April 5-7. It's in Cohutta National forrest, and is setup like a national park with no hookups. We've got a generator and 45 gallons on fresh water so boondocking won't be a problem. I've also got a couple of trips to states parks planned for late April and May, Sloppy Floyd State Park in Summerville, GA and Cloudland Canyon State Park in Trenton, GA.

our next trip will be to New Iberia La to visit Avery Island and the Tabasco Plantation, then the next week back to Fort Pickens and a sailing trip for my wife's mothers day present and then to Pine Mountain Ga, Roosevelt State Park, Calloway Gardens for Memorial Day weekend!!

Gettysburg PA. coming up soon. Then to the Eastern Shore of Maryland and Virginia in July and reservations made for Big Meadows Campground in the Shenandoah National Park in October. There will be some other trips in between as time permits.

Decide last night to go to Reed Bingham State Park (Adel GA) this weekend, Hannah Park (Jacksonville FL) Memorial Day weekend, and Unicoi State Park (Helen GA) at the beginning of July. Can't wait to go!!!

Leaving for NM., May 18th., then Pinetop, AZ., to see kids and granddaughters. We'll spend time camping in Jellystone Park, CO. Can't wait to see Monument Valley! We'll be gone about a month.

Have you ever tried Desoto State Park in Alabama...we did last year, full hookups, great place..lots to see around Ft. Payne...might want to give it a try, we are going back in June..

Heading out on the 24th to Pigeon Forge...wife and grand daughter to hike up to LeConte Inn at the top of the mountain..only way up, Hike UP, 5.3 miles up and 5.8 miles down...They will spend the night in their assigned cabin...Plan to stay around there til nextweek...Then in June we are back at Desoto Falls in Ft. Payne, Ala., next will be Goshen, IN for the Phfrog Ralley..In between, we will be at the SunnyBrook in Talking Rock Creek RV Resort.....May throw a trip in to an un-known place we have never been before..
