You got that right, when the temp gets down in the 40's, it's time to head farther south until it gets warmer in Concord.

We are heading to the mountains in south Western Pennsylvania. Beautiful fall foliage. And several fall festivals. It has become a fall tradition for us...

Where in SW PA? I'm always looking for places fairly close to my area (Western MD). We'll be hitting Swallow Falls SP in Garrett Co, MD sometime soon,

Best regards on the chemo protocol. DW now in 3rd remission from NHL following a successful stem cell transplant.

Headed for the Shenandoah National Park in 2 wks. Big Meadows Campground on Skyline Drive. Should be at peak fall foliage viewing according to the latest reports for that area. It's a family tradition every year

Wishing you success with and good health after your chemo, Joe.

I'm thinking our "big trip" next year will be to Myrtle Beach. DH wants to play golf there somethin' fierce!

Originally that was our reason for buying the RV. He's a social animal and I'm a bit of a recluse on weekends. Our plan was to combine our trips with his golf addiction. I could either golf with him (Lord knows I'm not patient enough for that four letter word game, so sometimes I just ride the cart) or get my solitude fix by walking the hiking trails around the various RV parks or just staying around the RV reading a good book until he returns from whatever course he plays.

Surprisingly so far he's been more interested in seeing local scenery/attractions than playing golf, but by golly as soon as we get home he grabs his sticks and heads for the CC!

P.S. He builds custom golf clubs and I wager I'm the only "sometimes player" with a full set of custom sticks. I've accused him of building my set just so he doesn't feel guilty 'bout all the *many* sets he's built for himself. Our guest bedroom has become his "stick museum".

Thank you for your kind response. I hope to pick up my golf game when I get to Myrtle beach. I have a neighbor and fellow golfer who plans on bringing his A-Liner, and having a good time. He provides the music, a country and blues player, and I do the cooking. Works out well, DW is to frail with emphysema to accompany me on my sojourn, but encourages me to enjoy a few trips each year.

Desoto State Park

This place in the fall is about as good as it gets. With the Desoto Falls close by, you get plenty of great pictures from the cliffs over looking the river below. The sites are all full hook-ups and with cable, most sites are pull thru's, always a joy when there is no hassle and having Ft. Payne, AL close by makes it nice too.

We've been invited to a pre-Halloween campout in Cincinnati with the Von Lehmdens, then we'll be hosting two rallies in Charleston, SC the weeks of 11/10 and 11/17.

We'll be at Winton Woods the nights of October 18 & 19. Looks like a beautiful place. We appreciate Ed and Heather inviting us to join them.

Of course, now that you know, I have to kill you , but please understand that it's nothing personal.

I would expect nothing less . I hope you enjoy your time while you are here. We are headed a little to the north and to a renaissance festival that weekend. If you and your hosts are looking for something to do that weekend there is always a good joust to watch .

Talking Rock Creek RV Resort

Headed back up this weekend to our home away from home. Been back up three weekends in a row now. Hopefully we can stay longer than just the weekend, staying only two nights is not very much fun. We did get our LED Lights run the full length of our stationary awning. These are the same lights we have on the Crusader but on one strip, the awning has two which is thirty feet, pictures to follow when I get back up this weekend:
