Our first trip to Jellystone, Montrose, CO., will be June 21st. Both sets of us grandparents, our son, his wife and two little girls. Those eight days will be fun. Thankfully, each family will be in their respective campers!

Doing the gulf coast experience these next few camping jaunts. Heading to Gulf State Park this weekend, then Styx River in July, Blackwater River State Park in August and Florida Caverns State Park in September. That reminds me, where did I put that industrial-strength skeeter spray...

Man those sound like some awesome trips. As I mentioned before headed to Bethpage this weekend with about 4 other units from our RV Club (Northern Va Travel Masters), then back a week and headed to Oxford NC for a motorcycle ralley over the 4th weekend. So far we have about 13 units going with us to that (dry camping event). Should be interesting for those in our group who have not dry camped before. After that headed to Apache at Myrtle for a week, our "Adult" vacation while the grandparents keep the kids! Can't wait!

We returned last Sunday from our first extended outing which included 2900 miles over 24 days. We spent most of our time in Texas, Arkansas, and Missouri state parks. My favorite park was Bennett Springs SP, MO. DW's was Lake Catherine SP near Hot Springs AR. Other favorites in order were: Lake Livingston, TX, Table Rock Lake, MO, Devil's Den, AR, Johnson's Shut Ins, MO and Lake Atlanta, TX. We had an awesome, adventurous time and once we rest our bones for a couple of weeks, we'll start planning the next trip:

Devil's Den SP, AR

The trout-filled springs at Bennett Springs SP, MO:

Table Rock Lake SP, near Branson MO.

Sunset over Lake Livingston, TX.

When we lived in Dallas, we took out kids to Tyler State Park often. They loved to swim there. Great place.

We will probably take a long weekend trip somewhere close in the next month or so then take our fall week long trip to the Texas hill country in October.

That sounds like it was an awesome trip, and you took some good pictures. I hope to take a similar extended trip one day. Who says you need a motorhome to travel the country.
