Paying the price for winterizing too early here Missouri. Expected high today of 72 tomorrow in the 70s and 60s and on Sunday.

Heading up to Blanco (Tx) State Park with the grandkids for Thanksgiving week: Blanco State Park — Texas Parks & Wildlife Department

This little park fills up quickly. First time we've been able to reserve a spot.

Luckily for me in NC I never winterize. I got the arctic pack and if the overnight lows are too low, I'll run a little space heater inside. I use my RV year-round. If a warm weekend is in the forecast, I'm on my way.

Monday after Thanksgiving to Coushatta RV park in Kinder, LA, for three nights. One of the best RV parks that we have ever used. Tuesday senior buffet $5.50, $18 per night, first class pull thru, very nice bathooms, it is layed out with big wide streets, they pick you up at your RV day and night. I could not ask for more, free drinks while I shoot craps with the other old men.

It has been 5 years since our last one - so looking forward to going back!

Headed to a private campground in Abbeville, LA this afternoon. Visiting with some old friends, cooking, and drinking a couple of cold ones.

Thanksgiving Week at Blanco State Park (TX)

Not like it is much of a trip since the park is less than 20 miles north of us, but we really enjoy this place. Not the easiest to get into in the summer as it is asmaller than most state parks and reservations must be made well in advance. Fortunately we were able to take the grandgirls with us Thanksgiving week:

Had such a great time the wife and I are heading back this weekend.

We are going to Crooked River State Park for 4 nights over New Years weekend. We're going to visit Cumberland Island and hopefully see the wild horses on the island.

Crooked River is a nice CG...we really like the private sites (level/gravel/thick vegetation) just behind the open grass sites!

our trailer's next trip[sic] actually won't be a moving one - my Wife is having a Christmas get-together for her 3 grand nieces on the 21/22nd

She, I and the pups will be headed west (above post) over Christmas so She and the girls will be spending the night of the 21st in the trailer, on our parking pad, after opening gifts and having supper.....Bill

Wife and I went right back to Blanco State Park for three days two weekends ago. This time without the grandkids!! It's an easy walk/bikeride to downtown Blanco where we enjoyed walking around the square, visiting the old Blanco County courthouse and grabbing a bite to eat at the Redbud Cafe. Great fishing weather and we nearly had the park to ourselves on Monday. Sure didn't want to leave...

Winterized the trailer last week and put it in storage. Dang it all...
