Which space did you reserve? That park can get rowdy on holiday weekends.
Hopefully you got a low numbered space over on the entrance road to the right. There's a group of five RVers that always reserve spaces for the holiday weekends over in the high numbers...high forties to low fifties IIRC. They party HARD way into the late hours and early morning hours.
I just made reservations for Memorial Day Weekend back at Poverty Point again. Got the same space we got a few weeks ago. It's an awesome space, backed up to a wooded area with no close neighbors (no
neighbors on the right facing the space...just open grass area).
Our other favorite park; Jimmie Davis aka Caney Lake is booked SOLID for that weekend, even space one which is somewhat isolated, not near the water, quiet, etc. Color me surprised at that one.
We're not big on holiday weekend camping, but DH's golf schedule is kicking into high gear right now and
we've got hitch itch.
