Did you booked your site again for next year? I tried to book a beach site before leaving and all are already booked. I will be in the second row next year.

No we didn't. We are planning a Grand Canyon Run for next summer. We will likely go back to Destin, not sure when.

KHO6658, I did hear that the site we had would be concrete pads next year, that would help with the sand in your unit a little.

Cajun Po-Boy, how do you like Top Sail? I didn't get a chance to check it out, but wondering how it compares to Henderson and Camp Gulf. I know the state parks are a lot cheaper, but wondering how it compares. Thanks

Heading to Shakamak State Park in Jackson, IN in a few weeks. I've been there before Tent camping, but will be first time in a Camper.

Now just need to get this leak fixed!

IMO, Topsail is so much more enjoyable & a lot less crowded with vacationers than Camp Gulf...big bonus for Topsail is their 3 miles of beach frontage that is only accessible for campers and day use through entry fees in the park, never do you fight for a set up spot at the beach! The access to the beach is a little long but you have the option to walk, bike or take the park's provided tram (no charge).
Campsites in one half of park are very lush, private and large...other half is more like a state park camp sites but those are also large and spacious. Outdoor movie theatre, pool and various other typical amenities.

Henderson is nice if you want the best of both worlds...being in the middle of Destin by all the stores/restaurants and camping in a quiet campground setting where you're not crowded in with your neighbor, sites are mostly full sun with typical beach dune vegetation.

Yes they did tell us that also. We still did end up with a lot of sand in the tt. With the exception of the concert slab the tt was on, we were in the sand. Today I will start the clean up process.

Heading over to Orlando Lake Whipporwill KOA for three days starting 7/18. Short drive but should be fun parked right on the lake.
