My next trip will be a short one. Just a few steps out the back door today to sit in and admire 'er. Nothing more to "do" to 'er, she's stocked and ready.

Temp was 29 last night, after two gorgeous sunny days in the high 50s.

Yeah, I'm whining. This weekend is predicted to be perfect camping weather but DH has to work Saturday...ramping up to the dreaded annual stress test; inventory

I have been told Mt. Rushmore and whatever is in between here and there.
I figure 15-20 days.

Where's Your Next Trip?

End of June we travel from Michigan to edisto state park in South Carolina. After there we head sort of north to elkmont campground just before the 4th of July in great smokey mountain national park. Catch some fireworks in gatlinburg, tn this year.

Our next trip is to Death Valley in February. It will be our first in our new Solera 24R. We have been there many times in our 17 foot Hi-Lo trailer.

First trip of 2014 is going to be to Chula Vista R.V. resort just south of San Diego this weekend. So excited to get away. The trailer has looked so sad sitting by the side of my house since thanksgiving.

Blanco State Park in late March, then Lockhart SP in mid-April. Had these scheduled for last year, but had to postpone due to family priorities. Poured a concrete pad last fall so we can now park the trailer here at the house. I'm sure we'll get some driveway camping in with the grandkids before we head out for this year's first sojourn.

We've thought about heading up there. Hope it's a good trip! I'll be waiting to hear how it goes and what you thought about it!

We've been there a few times already...nice park and campground is pretty good, especially if you get a site with a view to the mountain
Lots of walking, hiking, biking can be done here and park is very well maintained!

We made it to Fort Pickens Campground. Had a couple of nice weather days so far but it is going to get cold again on Tuesday. Anyway it is nice to get away and enjoy views of a white sand and crystal clear water. We are in A19. We checked on you at C12 but guess you couldn't make it. Maybe we will meet another time soon.

Third week in February my family and I will be at Rancho Jurupa Park for four nights in sunny southern California. We love that park!

Depending on the weather our plan is to leave on the 26th of Feb for a trip to Gulf Shores, AL. If weather permits we’ll dewinterize the Silverback at our overnight stop at EZ Daze RV Park in Mississippi. We plan to spend the month of March at Island Retreat RV Park. If the weather is still cold in St. Louis at the end of March we might extend our stay in the south a couple of more weeks.

I spend a lot of time at the beach and it's easy to find me, look for the guy with the white hat.
