For a dressy casual evening, fine beach view dining...recommend Beach Walk in Destin, Fl & Fish Out of Water in Santa Rosa Beach, Fl...of course for a non special occasion dining, head over to The Back Porch in Destin for great casual food lunch/dinner with great on the beach views

Where you staying at Kerr Lake? That's my neck of the woods. Stop at the Dam Office on High #4 off of 58. Or call the corp office in Boydton about getting a pass. Your camping will be 1/2 price to $13.00 per night. Also take a ride through my Town. We are the only Town on a lake in the Virginia....... Watch out for split sites, hard to even sit next to your trailer then you walk down 4 steps to the table and firer pit. That is mostly at Rudd Creek CG. Longwood is the best

Camp Gulf 2014

Just returned from Camp Gulf, 3rd year in a row. The beach front sites are the way to go, set everything up and leave it for the duration. Beats hauling all the gear down to the water and back every day. Daily pump out service was $64 for the week. Making plans for next year!

Bridgeside Marina in Grand Isle, Louisiana. This campground is nothing fancy, but if you like to catch fish or crabs or shrimp this is the place to do it. Full marina services and beach access.

Will be at Petitt Jean State Park out of Morrielton Arkansas next week with my oldest Grand Son looking to have a great time. Been there several times am sure it is still a beautiful park. Will be Grandson's first time to see any mountains sure he will like it.

Next trip? July 2-6 at Seneca Shadows in Seneca Rocks, WV. We've been going there over the 4th of July for the past 5 years or so. Nice and quiet, great views!

We stayed at Catherin's Landing RV Resort last Thanksgiving and drove up to the top of Pettit Jean. Still BEAUTIFUL up there! Can't imagine pulling an RV up to those camp sites on top.

We even ate a traditional Thanksgiving meal at the lodge restaurant there. Great views from the glass walls in the dining area while you eat, entertained by a couple of hawks and eagles ridin' the thermals that day.

T'was a first for DH and I hadn't been there in decades. Definitely worth the drive.

July 1st at home for Canada Day then July 3rd off to Soo Locks Campground in Mi. for July 4th celebrations and let grandson watch ships and cruise locks for a couple of days. Then off to Turtle Lake Campground for 2 days to take in the sand dunes at Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore followed by 3 days at Turkeyville Campground in Marshall Mi.. Somehow the name seems to suit me but it is because of my grandson wanting to go back there that we will be there. We stayed there overnight on the way to Goshen last year and he really liked it. After that it is back home for a four or five day rest before we (just DW and myself and the dog) take off on a general wander towards Oklahoma area. Old Guys (Brian and Joanne)
