We enjoy WagonTrail campground. Nice people run the place and it's very clean. Sites on the outside of the 500 loop are great (506, 508, 510, 512, etc)! Walking distance to a morning pastry and coffee, afternoon outside beer or restaurant with fish boil. Walking trails and public beach.

Near the top of the county. Very close to NewPort State Park. The nice ladies in the camp store will give you a way to enter the park for free if you ask.

We stayed a few times in Door County. Fish Harbor Campground is a nice place with full hook ups. Lots to do around Fish Harbor with shops and theaters. Next time we would stay at Peninsula State Park because don't need full hook ups now.

Kevin.....where do you guys like to go around Brodhead? I live near Dubuque but find a lot better campgrounds near the Dells. Just booked a trip to Bagley too.

When we are at home we have land on the Sugar River that we cleared out so we can camp for free. If you want a nice CG, Camp Crazyhorse is 2 miles from us and thats the one to stay at in Brodhaed. Its also on the river with tubing and canoeing. Have you ever camped at Lake Joy over in Belmont? We did a weekend here and its were we might do a seasonal in a few years.

We stayed at Crazy Horse 2yrs ago and had an absolute blast. My wife and all of her family are from WI so if we do a family outing its always in WI. We just scheduled Pride of America to stay at next month. That one is always a good time as well.

We have a 3yr old and one on the way so we have to make sure campgrounds have a lot of activities.

We just had a Sylvan pontoon. It was nice but I kinda missed camping. Worked out in the end because we got a much nicer camper than we had before.

We have also stayed at Wagontrail Campground in Ellison Bay and would recommend. Nearby Swedish bakery is wonderful.

Door County has a ton of great campgrounds! Quietwoods south (just south of sturgeon bay) has it all including a couple waterslides for the kids, bar for adults and an amazing firework show for the 4th and my favorite adult trick-or-treating in October they also have a huge haunted house that rivals any you have been to right at the campground. Harbor Village (Carlsville) again has water slides, huge pool, adult only pool and really nice wooded sites. Wagon trail is nice if you prefer quiet camping in the woods yet close to Sister Bay for shopping and dinning. My familys favorite is Ahnapee River Trails in Algoma (15 min from Sturgeon Bay) the reason is the pool is always 85 degrees and noone is ever in it lol
its a small quiet campground not very wooded but its also on the Ahnapee River they have canoes and such for rent to play on the river.
