Others have listed the state parks and national shore lines along the West Coast of Michigan, all great. Some of the best beaches in the world!

Stop in Grand Rapids and visit the Meijier Gardens, The Gerald R. Ford Presidential Museum (not my party, but he was a good man, a Good President and an Eagle Scout, the type of person the world needs more of).

In the Detroit area, the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village are great, also the Detroit Institute of Art. If coming via Toledo, they also have a wonderful art museum.

I will check out your stops.
Any other information would be greatly appreciated.
Iggy, not sure if you are thinking about the Madison, WI area... but if you do, we like Lake Farm Park Campground on the SSE side of town. If you like walking/biking, Madison has an extensive network of trails.

Hartwick Pines is also one of the very few Michigan State Parks that have some full-hookup sites. If memory serves they are: Hartwick Pines, Sterling, Holland State Park Beach & newly added sites at Wilderness.

We love the U.P. . Lots of nice campgrounds and things to do. Do not miss Whitefish point and the great museum there. You remember "The Wreck of The Edmund Fitzgerald" song by Gordon Lightfoot. The museum is a monument to that famous shipwreck and many other interesting things. Then there is Tahquamenon Falls S.P. and its beautiful forests and rivers. Moving west you could visit Crisp Point Lighthouse which is fairy close to Muskallonge S.P.

Mentioned before is Porcupine Mountain S.P. while there be sure to see the Lake of the Clouds.

If you have time a trip up to Copper Harbor is well worth it.

So much to see and do. You will have fun.

We try to make sure to get up by Lake Superior whenever we can.

There are some full hookups at Orchard Beach S.P. just north of Manistee. A small park but very nice. Right by Lake Michigan and sometimes the best Sunsets.

The roadway at the east entrance to The Porcupines is M107. Pull overs along the lake have memorials to the 107'th combat engineers including the 32'nd Div in WWI and II. listing those lost in the "Battle of France" in WWI. Gives the beauty the place a certain air of respect

Especially the state parks, they fill up fast, they open up 6 months in advance.

Are you planning to go to the Upper Peninsula? There are a bunch of things up there as well.
