1st Year+ Mods Last Post

Couldn't get all the 1st Year+ Mods in two posts so here they are.

Fought with fridge most of the year. Late season warranty repair seemed to help. Added this fan based on posts on the forum. Not sure if it helped tho, will see how it goes this summer.

Home Depot plastic gutters to cover awning and slide topper. This idea from the forum was the best. Provides sun and snow protection and easy to use.

Also bought a Progressive Industries 30a portable surge protector and cool cable lock to keep it secure.

By the way, love the camper!

W,

I need to look into the bike rack as we do a lot of biking and I will be picking up our 3011DS in <30 days. Also, are the rain gutters over the awning just for storage or are those permanently attached and also on there when driving?

Wandering did you forget your vent cover I see in pics, and what's with the gutter over your awning. I like that one for storage.

The gutters over awning are just for storage. They lock into camper gutter but wouldn't stay put on the road.

Vent covers are in this thread.

They are on for the winter now but I plan to put them on between trips during the camping season just to extend life of the awning. They go on and off very easy, just hook in camper gutter and hang there.

Gotta give credit to Mikegjax for the idea at

Send a message via Yahoo to Magee
Anxious for an update on the fridge fans this summer and where you purchased, how installed.

The fridge fan came form http://rvcoolingunit.com. Lots of positive posts on this forum about them. It also makes sense to circulate the air in the fridge to me.

That said, every time I turned it on temp went up too high.

Didn't try it after warranty repair during a fall trip. Will see if it is needed during hot summer.

BTW very easy to install, just clips on fins and connects to hot side of light. Less than $20 too.

Got the floor mats on Amazon.

Saw them in another post on the forum. Very nice mats, fit perfectly and only $34.

Thank you.

It's a Saris Axis aluminum 3 bike rack. I liked the lighter weight and strap system. Very easy to load bikes. Seems like I got it for $230 but higher now.
