2010 3170DS Faucet

Hello,

We recently purchased a 2010 3170DS and on the test run at the local KOA the kitchen faucet leaked. The previous owner said he’d replaced the seal at the base of the faucet with an o ring from the auto parts store, so I’m guessing that didn’t work. I don’t have the bad seal so I’m trying to identify the model of the faucet to order a part. There aren’t any brand markings so I’m thinking the faucet is an rv specific model. Any help on where to get the part appreciated.

Thanks,

Eric

is it one of the stems or the main faucet center leaking? the stems or sold in big box store just remove the part and match it up with old part and install. Or remove the whole unit and bring into box store and go into plumbing area some have real good people home depot has the best.

It’s leaking at the base of the spout.

I'd just replace it with a new unit from a big box store. Of course that's just me.... I despise double handled faucets. Click image for larger version

Eric,
There aren't any markings on it because R/V manufacturers use inexpensive, imported faucets for cost. (read cheap)

You will need to remove the faucet cartridge and see if you can match up an o-ring.
None of us are going to be able to tell you in advance what to buy. The R/V manufacturers have used hundreds of different faucets over the years.

With that said, if you can't find parts (but I suspect you will) you can always replace the entire faucet with a household type faucet. The spacing is the same.

Go to any reputable plumbing supply house to get a good one.

I have the same faucet, and you may be able to see some numbers behind it if you point your phone at the back. Even knowing that, I could only trace it to a Chinese company with no customer service. The big issue for me is how to replace it. I can’t see anyway I can get my hands in the necessary places to loosen the nuts from underneath that hold it to the sink top, let alone other manipulations needed to remove it. Yes I have replaced faucets before. If you figure out how to do it please post some pics!
