2013 2251LE 6v Golf Cart battery fitment Q.

Hi Everyone,
i just bought a lightly used 2013 2251LE (previous owner drove about 200 miles on it).

it came with a single group 27 coach battery.
since i do alot of boondocking and want to add another battery.

does 2 6v golf cart batteries fit in the stairwell location? length and width seems fine, but the height i'm not so sure.

do i need to add more spacers for height clearance?

or shall i just get another 12v group 27.

Any advice are welcome.

Height does not fit. Someone on here used an oak spacer to get the room, but could not get a tight seal so ended up just using 12v batteries.

That is the benefit in that you can get 12V anywhere in a pinch.

Thanks, I've read that post during my searches.
And you'd think going to 6v golf cart batteries is one of the first basic mods to any RV.

You'll find most, if not all Class C mfg.'s use dual 12V. Easy to replace and you can run on one if need be.

Now if you're dry camping and running an inverter, then yes, a bank of 6v's would be nice, you'll see it mainly on Class A's. The majority of people are running 12v on Class C's.

2 Group 31's will fit. I switched to 2 UB 110 Ahr AGM's and am very happy. Not cheap but they seem to perform well so far.
