2015 2501 Battery holddown

Attached is a picture of the understep (house) batteries. Note where the hold down strap goes i.e. right across the fill caps. So how does one check the water level? More important, how does one even release the hold down?

My straps are the same way and slide to get the top off. Just be careful.

Can you replace the single strap with one for each?

Suggest you replace the strap with one that can use a buckle like this or similar.... On two pieces of poly belt.
