Omg...that rocks

Just saw this and thought wow..nice job. We just purchased a 2012 2650 Sunseeker, (only 10,000 miles) pick it up on Thurs. First things we would like to do is replace the barrel chair and change out lights to LED. By chance would anyone know what size/part would fit? Also has anyone changed out the barrel chair?
Thank you

Great Idea - just finished mine

We have never been comfortable lounging in the dinette. The recliners are very comfortable and I copied your idea of offsetting the table so it rotates forward or back. The seatbelts bolts were tough to get out, especially working by myself but got the job done.
One electrical problem, the 12 V outlet and light over the table are not working. Checked all the fuses by the door and all seem to be working. Any suggestions on where to look? I have a Forster 2251SLE.
Again, great idea

Total Loss,
I LOVE IT! We have the same dinette in a 2300, and I've been thinking of doing the same. I just found your thread and now I'm excited.

Do you know if your original dinette was 68" across? Do you have about 78" from the wardrobe to the front cab wall (behind the driver's seat)?

Thanks. I have even a bit more space, so that's encouraging.

Do you know what brand your chairs are? CW does not seem to have them now. I have found others, but it would be great to know, if you have the brand.

Mine are the Euro Recliners from Camping World.
They are $399 each in the Feb 2016 flyer but I cannot find them on the website right now. They are probably selling them out.

Call them. The item # for the "Brookwood Chestnut" (brown) is 77951.
They also have a "Latte" (tan) color- # 77950

We took the dinette out of a Sunseeker 2300. The only problem was the seatbelt assembly bolts. They had to be cut.
We just put down a carpet and got executive office chairs at Staples for $99 on sale. They are comfy, rock, recline, swivel. I like to swivel and look out the dinette window. We got a little folding aluminum table at Meijer but mostly use beanbag lap trays for eating, etc. A couple of 5 gal buckets hold canned goods and double as footstools. We're not fancy!

Maggie,
We like your idea and are considering the same.
I also found that I can buy another pair of the cab seats as OEM take-offs on ebay for $229 plus shipping. Then buy appropriate height mounting stands.

I think, but not sure, that the nuts for the seat belt bolts can be accessed through the roof of the storage compartment. The holes in the compartment roof might be filled with foam.

We are going to have to decide what to do about the lost storage if we remove the dinette.

Snowman, I will post photo, but have to straighten things up first . The buckets we use hold canned goods and some cans go up in cupboard, which by the way is now accessible

As for the bolts, 2 are in storage compartment and were cut off. The other two were underneath the body and could be backed off enough to cut off. Hardened bolts!! And ours were already too rusty to work the nut off.

As I think I said before TL,,, GREAT JOB !!!
I believe I am going to try to replace out Dinette this Spring in our 2013 Sunseeker 2500TS,,, with a Sofa Bed,,, because we need the sleeping room,,, I love your recliners,,, But Sofa Bed with storage drawer would work better for us !!! Our Dinette is in a slide,,, so not sure if it possible to do as I want,,, when the snow melts I need to get out and see what it may take ??? If any one has done this,,, I would love your input !!!

My first thought was to not exceed the weight of the dinette if it is in a slide.

Here's the finished product we did in replacing the cheap dinette that was thrown together in our Salem Cruise Lite. It'll sit 2 people comfortable and provide a lot more storage space. Being it's just the two of us, we don't need the added sleeping space.

Ikea

For anyone considering doing the mod, try out the Markus office chair at IKEA. If we do the mod, those will be our chairs.
