2701DS Thermostat location issue

My thermostat is located on the bedroom wall and covered when the slide is in. Since we are in and out of the MH all the time at home with it in, it becomes an issue to turn on the A/C, furnance or H/P. We have to get a mirror to set the temperature, the mode we can see the green light.
The obvious solution is to move it to the other side of the wall. But I think FR may have put it where it is to avoid problems with stove and oven heat affecting it. Any thoughts?

Mine has a vent blowing on it or near it so the temp drops pretty quick when it cycles off (heat). I have to turn the vent away and then the bedroom slide does not get as much.
I may move the thermostat.

Do you have the 2251 with the Chevy, right? Is the thermostat on the bedroom wall/wardrobe? If so, maybe a good spot would be on the pantry wall above the dinette.

Yes 2251.
It's on the wall between the refrig and the bathroom sink. (sink is outside of the water closet).
There is one vent in the bed nightstand near the floor. If you turn it up to blow into the bath/bed area- it hits the thermostat. If you turn it away, lessens the functionality.

And I am going to need it this weekend- hi dez trip- 20's at night, 50 in the day.

So the pantry wall above the dinette is a good spot for you by routing thru cabinets?
Have a safe trip and Happy New Year!

You could extend the wires and try it temporarily in various locations. See what works best

Cheep, CHEAP!

Little birdie says Forest River was CHEAP! My thermostat sits right above the heat ducts yet last year's model was located across the cabin.
