3011 DS Can the hitch be upgraded?

I see that the new 2015 models have a 7500 lb hitch. Can a 2013s' hitch be safely upgraded as well? Our minivan is within 500 lbs of the hitch capacity and I do not feel safe considering towing it with the existing hitch.

Yes it can See recent thread over on the Sunseeker Forum titled "partsonline/dealer" post 5.

Yes I upgraded my 2012 Sunseeker 3010ds for the same reason. My Jeep Grande Cherokee is almost 5000 lbs loaded.

Towed it very nicely to Gatlinburg recently - no issues.
