3050 couch replacement

Hi has anyone with a 3050 replaced the couch which is a POS. If so what did you do with the subwoofer.

We replaced ours in the sister to yours - 3051. We had two swivel recliner euro chairs for a while but recently replaced with RecPro theater recliners. We left the subwoofer behind the new recliners as there is enough room.

Our 2017 3050 doesn't have a subwoofer, but we just replaced the couch with recpro theater recliners. Much better.

Couch

We have often thought of replacing couch but we have a 3050S and wonder what happens to seat belts? Is it possible to have seat belts with recliners? We travel with grandchildren so torn as we would lose that sleeping spot but couch sure is not comfortable. We sit on cushions at night to help!LOL
Thanks!

Since the seat belts are bolted somewhere else they stay when the jack knife is removed. I know reading the warranty on the theater seats at got from Rec Pro they don’t cover damage of seat belts are used. Don’t see why they could not be used in the recliners though.

Seat belts work fine with recpro recliners without any modification.

Interested in doing the same to our 3050S. Which model RecPro did you use to replace the sofa? Ours has the outside TV behind the couch. Does your have that as well?

No outside TV so no need to access the wall behind. Went with the Charles cloth twin recliners with middle console. These are 67 inches wide, replaced a 68 inch jackknife sofa. They do extend into the living room a couple of inches more but not significant to me. I need to move one of the ladder brackets so the ladder to the upper bunk fits better for the rare times we use it

Did yours have the cup holders behind the couch?

Here are pics of ours in the “sister” 3051 we have.

Originally we didn’t think we’d have room for the center console but the 9 inch works out great.

Shot of DW standing between new seats and dinette with slide in also.

Last one is behind so you can see the room for the outside tv and the subwoofer.

We got the mahogany leather.

Mine did have the cupholders behind the couch
I decided to remove the shelf because the console has cupholders plus I could put the recliners a couple of inches closer to the wall.
The other issue was that the vinyl woodgrain was starting to delaminate.

thanks for the pics, seems your subwoofer is up against the wall, mine in on the floor right in the middle of the couch. Looks like I would have to relocate the subwoofer to replace the couch

Yes, ours was too when we removed the jack knife sofa originally. Just a couple screws and brackets holding it down. Easy to move.

I did a whole thread on removing the jack knife including pics of the process, wrench sizes etc. if you need I can send you the link to it.
