3171 Antenna wire

Hi late-model 3171 owners, can I ask for your assistance please? Prior to taking delivery I was made aware of a problem by the dealer in which there was no signal with the antenna. Apparently the antenna cable was severed during construction. They made a repair but I believe they took a shortcut to fixing it. What I'm trying to confirm is whether or not the factory also ran the antenna wire on the exterior as shown below. Can someone send me a picture?

Note the two faceplates inside the cabinet. Do you also have this?

To me this looks like they drilled another hole instead of running it through the ceiling.

I'm also surprised to see the sat connection buried in dicor located next to the front fan. Do you have this too?

TIA!

Sunseeker 3170DS here. Topside looks pretty much the same. I do have both wall plates in mine, but have cab over double bunk set up with tv in the middle. Antenna power is towards front and that jumper plate is to the back instead of on top. Looks pretty normal to me at least compared to mine with no known antenna issues.

I agree, looks very sloppy. Maybe BClemens can answer if this is the way they all look. I don't remember seeing this on a 2015 3171DS I looked at a few months ago when I was on top.

3171 Antenna wire

I have a 2015 3011 and my antenna connection looks similar. I also have the two faceplates with the coaxial connections inside the cabinet. I think I have the same SAT connection but it doesn't seem to be covered but sticking out by the front fan.

Checking this out made me realize how badly I need to wash her!

I tried posting a photo but it didn't work. Let's see if this does it.

Well, the wire has to come up the sidewall area, but then get over to the antenna somehow. No way to run it in the roof and then up due to the assembly process.

Actually looks a lot cleaner than the old Winegard set up.
