it could be a number of issues on the schwintek slide including just a loose wire. I know exactly how you feel because...

We're currently at Grizzly RV Park in West Yellowstone but 3 days ago when I went to retract the living room slide the night before we were heading out from home, it wouldn't retract. I was panicked, frustrated and irritated. I thought our vacation was ruined. Then, I had a neighbor come over to help me think through the issue and we figured it out finally. In the storage compartment below the motor of the living room slide there is a nut and a cotter pin. The cotter pin and become entangled with wheel covers I had stuffed into it and cause the motor to bind up.

Anyway, all is not lost. All those things can be fixed. My wife reminded me that its better to break at home then out on the road. You have a beautiful coach and I'm getting comments (just as you will be too) on the full body paint and whole coach. Hang in there...

Good advice about making sure that compartments under slides, should be packed properly in order to not interfere with the operation of the slide. Wouldn't have thought about that otherwise. Thx guys.

Do not know if other manufacturers are the same but when I toured the factory the guide said the day shift team had a quota of 16 units per day. When 16 were done the workers could go home.

Either way,,, it leads to a less than great product in the Manufactured Home Industry,
As in many other industries where workers are paid pic work !!! I understand the world must be that way,,, but wonder where Quality Control has gone ???

Getting close to picking up our MH. Couple of questions. Do they provide 2 sets of keys or only one? Also, when the unit arrived in SLC from the factory, there were some rockchips on our Indigo paint job and service said they will not touch them up. Part of being shipped across the country. Also, one of the windows on the bunk side, the black rubber trim around the window is all scuffed. Again, they said not covered. Is this normal for the dealers to say? Thx, Ben

Received two sets of main door keys ,2 ignition keys and 4 storage lock keys. Thought I had seen a post of the painted jobs coming thru with small bottles of touchup paint

My Forester had significant paint chips in it when it was delivered last November. Yes it came with a small bottle of touch up paint but that would look worse. Looking to get the two lower front surfaces of the motorhome just behind the running boards repainted this fall and have that 'chipguard', plastic sheeting put over it to stop it from happening again. I just figured as soon as it was done it was on the road. No time for the paint to really cure.
