adding backup and side cameras

We are looking at buying a used 2015 Forest River Forester 2251SLE that does not have either the rearview or side cameras--is it possible to add those? What is the ballpark cost to add something like that? It does have the GPS and the touch screen radio/dvd/etc.

It's possible. We don't loop our back up camera through our radio. We use a monitor that replaces the rear view mirror.

Thank you--is it expensive to do? Or do we just need to decide whether or not the lack of the cameras is a dealbreaker?

I've been meaning to ask... why a faux rear view mirror?? Seems wrong headed.

Do you mean why even have a rear view? If so it is required, at least here in PA. If it is there from the factory (from Ford or Chevy as a cab) needs to remain on the vehicle.

I have the "faux" rear view camera on the whole trip to keep an eye on our toad. Thinking about a second rear view to see traffic.

I have the 2015 2251SLE and have the backup camera that's mounted up where the rear view mirror mounts. Do you really think you need side cameras on such a small truck? Backup camera and moniter was listed as $595.00 on my bill.

If you get a RV Garmin, you can get camera that displays on the garmin. Cheap and works great

By "Faux" you mean? We have the back up camera monitor there because it's natural to look there for someone who is driving rather than looking down at the head unit or radio.

Until I get the garmin-$300-400+ $150 for camera- I'm thinking of a $80 wireless backup camera focused on traffic while the factory camera does the side and toad view. Joshua would really be cool if factory rear camera was controllable by the remote to change the view
