I don't know why.

As of yesterday, we are proud owners of a 2801.

We spent our first night on her after taking delivery and drove her 6 hours home today.

I can say I think this layout is the best I have experienced for TWO people. My wife sat in the theater seats and it was all over for me lol.

I am planning on doing all the suspension mods, shocks, sway bar and steering stabilizer followed by the magical alignment and I will be good to go.

Being an old racer, the driving experience is very important for me and I can truly say that I am very impressed, cruising the interstates at 70-72, windy lots of trucks. She wagged her behind a little nothing disturbing. Very comforting to know that our trip, leaving Monday, of 2000 miles won't be a concern for me.

Looking forward to sharing experiences with you all.

Hi ancient mariner
Congratulations on your new rig. I have the same one on order. And yes the recliners were the selling point. I would love to hear how your PD I went and what if any things you found. Feel free to PM me or post here for all to see.

The PDI went very well for me. Everything worked, the rig was clean, that's about all I could ask.

As for pointing things out, they did mostly ok and only missed a few non-critical knowledge points. Spent the night worked the **** out of everything and all worked fine so far. The trip we are leaving for in 4 days will be the real test . I think it will be fine.

My only complaint so far is the TVs suck and they have a really poor AVI integration. Also, if you have a Garmin, keep it. If you wear polarized sunglasses as I do, the center mounted screen is useless. Besides, I would have to take my eyes off the road to view it.

All minor issues and all RVs are a compromise. Even custom built.

One of each. Jensen front, Furion rear.

Congratulations. Enjoy the coach. I am thinking about suspension mods, but instead I am spending all of the money on gas and camping fees. 😀

I am picking my new 2016 Forester 2801QS up 2/13 and think I have everything figured out. From reading all the comments here, the only thing no one seems to have noted is the 2-piece Mattress on the rear slide out bed. Since there are no comments regarding the bed, I assume there is not reason to possibly think of upgrades.
Anyone have any thoughts? Thank you.
