Anyone add a Sound Bar for Jensen 32" TV

Our 2016 Forester came with the Jensen 32" TV and is connected to the dash radio sound system and surround with sub woofer. We never run the TV with the sound going thru the dash radio system and only use the TV speakers. Yes, it's wasted on us, DW's choice.
Has any used a sound bar connected to the TV and were you able to connect the power to the 12v system? I see some come with a DC outlet with transformer/converter to 110v.

Which model forester do you have?
I carry a Bose speaker, in case it's necessary. For a test, I tried it and another sound bar. Just plugged them into the audio out on the Jensen, turned off internal speakers, and set for external. If the sound bar controls the volume, turn off the variable audio output in the Jensen settings. Hope this is some help.

I have a 2016 2701ds. thatís what I want to do, connect RCA plugs from TV to dash radio to a sound bar. The few times we used the TV to dash radio it got so hot after watching a movie I couldnít touch the dash radio.

We have the Jensen radio with their sound bar. Pretty much adequate.

I added a Yamaha $150 subwoofer. That combination rocks. I am very particular about listening to music. The subwoofer is 110.

In 12 volt you are pretty much into car stuff.

I’m not sure about the 2701 but most Foresters I’ve seen had a separate Jensen sound system in addition to the dash radio. On my 3051 the Jensen (with DVD) is connected to the TV via an HDMI cable. The cable needs to be connected to the TV HDMI port with an ARC label. Then, when the Jensen is selected to HDMI mode anything playing on the TV is heard on the Jensen. TV speakers are automatically disabled when HDMI is selected on the Jensen.

Additionally, I added a Bazooka 10 inch subwoofer powered by a 400 watt amp. Sounds great.

At some point during every day you suddenly realize nothing else productive is going to happen the rest of that day. For me, it usually occurs around 9 am.

Mine doesn't have the Jensen sound system. That came out shortly after I got mine. Everything is thru the dash, nav/cd/dvd/radio. If I can't get one that will work on 12v, I will have to plug into my 400 watt inverter that is only supplying power to the Dish satellite receiver. I believe some just need the proper cable as they use a transformer within there power cord. I have hearing issues and wear hearing aids so volume abd sound clarity are what's important, the rest is wasted on me.

Lots of cars have 12 volt subwoofers. Our 2016 Sunseeker 2400R has a great sound system that is run by the Jensen and a subwoofer is under the dinette seat. Once the setting are correctly entered any tv ( mostly just DVDs or streaming ) and everything else, including CDs and iPhone music streaming runs through that good sound system.

As I mentioned, my system goes thru the Jensen dash radio. I have a sub woofer under the sofa and 4 speakers mounted on the ceiling. The sound is ok but going thru the dash radio is a hassle. The DW puts a comforter draped over the cabover as she doesn't like seeing the seats I guess and it provides some insulation?. But to work the dash radio even with the remote, I have to have a clear view of the dash radio. I thought about installing the Jensen system in an overhead cupboard, but the wiring would be a nightmare. If I did get a soundbar that has a space for a subwoofer, I may be able to wire that.

An option might be a wireless IR repeater/extender, if you dig around you might find something you can easily convert to 12v.
