I’m entirely impressed that the switch is labeled! My tank heater switch is NOT labeled.

Using that logic, your AC controls should be labeled "Desert."

It tickles me every time I see a discussion about an "arctic switch" or an "arctic package" on an RV. This has got to be one the biggest ruses going. There's no such thing. Folks in lower 48 may buy into this, but here in Alaska we know better. Where I live, at -20F, I can take a cup of hot coffee (118F), throw it up in the air, and by the time it hits the ground it's frozen. Maybe "cold weather package" would be a more truthful term.

Don't think it doesn't get cold in the lower 48. This is back in January in northern Illinois.
I didn't get a pic, but the next morning was -30F.
A couple years ago it didn't go above -10F for almost 3 weeks.

To someone who lives in Florida, New York City is considered "The Arctic".
I had an employee who was based in Phoenix. Whenever he came to meetings at our Denver office he was always complaining how cold it was even in Summer months.
