Our awning is missing about 4 inches of retaining rod as a result it is hanging down away fron the rig, unattached and flapping. It looks like I need to swap the rod. This would be an easy fix if I could find a rod to use. The rig is under warranty but I don't want to drive 3 hours to the dealer and lose it for a month waiting on parts etc. Where can I get this rod?
Can you help with pics of what you're talking about?

Ah, I think I know what you are talking about. The vinyl "cord" that holds the awning fabric in the gutter channel. I would think window screen cord might work. Look for it at a home center where window screen supplies are sold.
