Awning lights went out

We have a 2017 Forester 3051S and the strip lights at the base of the awning have quit working. Checked the fuses and none seem to be blown. The porch light still works though. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, what was the cause and correction? Did the light strip have to be replaced and if so was it covered by warranty?
Thanks

We've had reports of the LED strip going bad. We've also had reports of bad switches and wiring.

Until there are some basic electrical tests done to determine the problem, everyone here is guessing.

Yes, Forest River warranty covered it. The LED strip had shorted out, so they replaced the whole strip.

Jim, we purchased the same model as you 2 months ago on which a few items have come up. Maybe I didn't get the memo, but who did you contact at Forest River to cover the lighting strip and who physically replaces it?

We just took it to Camping World, who is a Forester dealer, and they got the authorization from Forest River. They ordered the new light strip and replaced it under warranty. Any Forest River dealer should be able to do the same.

Take back to your dealer and have them replace under warranty and any other items that you need corrected. Later RJD

Thanks. My dealer is 300 miles away. Bought at a show but not impressed with the dealer post sale. PDI revealed engine issues which had to be corrected before I took delivery. Ford dealer repaired and commented that the codes came up a week earlier and we're cleared but no repair was done. I believe the dealer was hoping I didn't notice the engine light. Repair cost the dealer $400 which I'm sure will be reimbursed by Forest River. I just got that "smile, fill in the paperwork, take the money" feeling. Interestingly, a FR rep recommended a different dealer closer to me so as I make my punch list I will probably contact them instead.

I thought that camping world no longer did warranty work? Are they still an FR warranty repair option?

I think BClemens wrote on here somewhere that Camping World is contracted and must do repairs etc on Forest River.

Could be mistaken but I'm pretty sure it is in a thread.
