Battery Control Center Issue

I have a 2009 Forester that has been acting up. If the unit sits for a while with no power connected (sometimes hours sometimes only 15-20 minutes) the awning won't extend or retract and the generator won't start. The generator just clicks like its got a weak battery but the batteries are good both brand new and showing a good charge. Everything else works fine including the slides and step which are also controlled from the control center.
If I start the truck engine, after a minute or two there is a click from the control center and everything works fine. If I shut everything down and wait awhile it does the same thing.

Any suggestions are appreciated. We are prepping for our annual Disney trip and I am hoping to fix this myself and avoid giving a RV dealer the money for my Mouse Ears.

Sounds like a bad connection between the batteries and the rest of the 12 volt system. Check connections at batteries and underneath the coach on the back of the BCC. Check ground connection underneath. Check at the power distribution center. Take the connections off to check and clean. Could have corrosion hidden.

Could use a voltmeter to find bad connection. Check for voltage on posts and on lugs that attach to lugs. If have a bad connection could have voltage at post or lug but not getting through the corrosion.

Thank You

You were right on the money. Bad ground connection between the battery and the battery control center. It's working like a charm now.
