Bought mine on Amazon. $235.

Did you need to purchase the putty tape and sealant?

Thinking of doing this. What is that in this picture?? It looks like a 120V AC line. In post #17, it looks like 12V wiring in the wall, not the same at all. Post #19 suggests it's an AC line that actually provides DC power. (what?)
Thanks!

It was 12v line. As noted In post 19 it kinda looked like lamp cord but is was just stranded copper wire. You can see it on my picture if you look close. Same line ran on over to nearby bath fan. I just snipped the loop and used a wire nut to connect the now three wires. Fan came with crimp connectors but it wasn't large enough for 3 wires. Had to shove the wire nuts into the hole to make it fit.

Bedroom vent wired for fan?
Looks like they have improved the pre-wiring at least on some models. Here is the rear vent wiring on our 2016 Forester 2401R MBS:
I have also ordered the FantasticVent fan model 7350 (807350) from their distributor after discussing by phone. Pretty much the same price as they have on Amazon, $245 with free shipping. Boat & RV Accessories 866-204-7049. The mfgr does not sell to retail buyers.
The 7350 has the variable speeds (13), automatic thermostat control, remote, power hood opener and closer, rain sensor, and reversable air flow!
Do I need the putty tape for under the edge AND the Dicor?

Hey Wandering, I don't know if it matters, but I was concerned that wire nuts might eventually jiggle loose so I went and picked up some larger crimps. Maybe I am just over thinking.

I kinda agree. Should have taken the time to get larger crimp connectors.

I used both. No sense taking any chances with water infiltration at that location.

Bedroom vent wired for fan?
Me too! Used both putty tape and Dicor. Too bad MN is so far from the Buckeye state, I have 25 ft of putty tape and 2+ tubes of Dicor left over. Thought I might need more Dicor. 1+ tubes will be enough.
