Sage that is what I was saying my Sunseeker handles great two finger driving until the wind picks up and then it drives good unless I am running 70 mph and that's when it takes a lane and a half I have had my share of Rv's this being one of the smaller ones 32' but it's by far the worst I have ever had in winds hope the reflex steering improves that

Boso, well, let's see if it works. I prefer to slow down for now. Been in 50-70 mph gusts going to Meteor Crater in my Winnebago and steering at 2 o'clock to go straight at 40-50 mph. Does a number on the tires. Where are you located?

I've installed the Bilstein shocks. What a difference! They are amazing! The difference is like black and white (or blue/yellow). So far wind has no effect. I will take the coach out of the garage this afternoon and see how the shocks actually perform when on the road at speed.

VWexpert, did you get the comfort, HD or mix them? Did you do it yourself? I did mine on my Winnebago 12 years ago. Never again, too old now.

It's still rainy and wet outside and my coach is all clean and waxed.
I'm installing my AIR LIFT 72000 Wireless Air Leveling Compressor today (finally) and a rear led light for hooking up the toad.
Dave, I have comforts on front and HD in rear.

I have the air lift compressor. I must have a very small leak somewhere. I hear it kick on for a couple of seconds every now and then. I have a bottle of snoop and plan to try and find leak next week.

Any updates?

So has anyone installed the Roadmaster stabilizer yet? I'm starting to get some pulling to the left now and a need for more correcting than I had right after the alignment. Could be wind and passing vehicles. When there are grooves cut into the road the wandering increases.

Hopefully I will get mine back this week but then again have to drop off at Ford for an inspection and any updates for the motor or tranny but I will install the Roadmaster the first day it's home with me. That pulling one way or the other is the complaints that I had read about.

This is what worked for our Sunseeker E-450. First, did an alignment with castor set up around +5.0.
We then added Bilstein shocks (regular not heavy duty because we are under 28 ft). Next
added Bilstein steering damper. The following year we installed Helwig sway bars front and rear. Even in windy conditions it is way more stable. The difference will make you smile.

I just received mine (Reflex unit with the wander return spring).
I will post when it is on. I also bought Bilsteins for the front.
It is a Chevy but the issues are similar.

Big rig road imprints in the tarmac seem to be my major issue. Don't know if I can get rid of the wandering on those completely but I think the self centering stabilizer will help.

See my thread below.

(as for the Santa Susana pass- I do it everyday...live in Simi...hate the Santa Ana winds)

vwexpert, curious to know all the mods you've done. I see here that you've added a compressor and bilstein shocks. Anything else?

Hi Steverkemp...so far just alignment / 7200 air system (that I am having problems with getting the wireless controller to work), blistein damper, bilstein shocks (comfort front - HD rear), installing a led light above rear bumper for hooking up toad at night, had the Satelite sound system united into coach surround sound (normally the surround sound is just with the DVD player) and setup the big outdoor speakers to work (if needed) while watching satellite on outside tv. The coach is still up on blocks in the garage. Hopefully will have enough time this weekend to finish running the wires to rear light and figure out the remote on the 7200 air bag system. I can then road test the shocks and give a great big thumbs up to Boso
Jim

Got the alignment got blue ox rear trac bar got reflex steering not on yet I guess shocks would just finish me off I won't have any gas money left but I can sit in the yard and think about how good it would drive if I had gas and it's less than 2 dollars a gallon here
