Sage do you think that this will help with wind mine handles well unless the wind is blowing hard with large gust I have done all I can do except add a better steering stabilizer

Boso, I don't know if it was the alignment, changing air pressure in tires and air bags, the steering stabilizer or a combination that made the improvement. But there is significant improvement in all around handling for me.
I don't want to recommend anything as each of us has our own set of influences like weight, wheelbase, tire and air bag pressure, alignment, driving habits and road conditions.
But have you researched Steersafe, Roadmaster and Safe-T as I believe they all have self centering.

Sagecoachdriver, Is this the correct Bilstein part number 24-174534? Are you on an E350 or E450 chassis? Thanks!

Boso, I slow down when the wind picks up and follow the semi trucks at 55 mph or slower. At 70mph, you're going to have increased handling issues. Try it, better to get there a few minutes later than not at all.

Yes you are right and the handling is great at 50-60 mph but I trying to get it to handle in the wind also I don't mind adding a steering stabilizer if that would improve it I think the trac bar was better than 500$ and it did help I think the loss of pressure in my airbags is my biggest problem

Question, is the Roadmaster Reflex any better than the Bilstein stabilizer. On Amazon the Roadmaster is $234 and the Bilstein is only $89.

If you guys are having wandering and steering issues there are multiple threads on this forum that deal with that, seek and he shall find. One of the best things you can do for instant improvement is a Forest River spec'd alignment. I have the specs here: https://app.box.com/s/egdwsv5nefh2zub5n0rc7tw9m5izieov

In my case (2012 Sunseeker) I replaced all four shocks and steering stabilizer with Bilsteins and set my airbags to 65psi. Still had issues. It wasn't until I did the alignment that I was able to drive one handed, now this thing drives like a dream.

Does it fit the 2015 E-450?

Papap from what I have read yes it will fit the E450 which I have as well. I am still deciding on the Bilstien or the Roadmaster RSSC. MY 33 foot Leprechaun really doesn't handle all that bad. I just want to reduce the play in the steering a little.

My Forster is the same way. It drives pretty good. Just has a little more play in steering than what I would like.

Update on Bilsteins

Drove up to Yosemite yesterday. No wandering, little to moderate buffeting from trucks passing and wind. Mostly one handed steering comfort.
Remember Bilstein is a heavier duty damper and Roadmaster is self centering, apples and oranges.
Raining like crazy here, no visible leaks, knock wood.

Yeah I agree.....that's why I don't know if the RSSC is really necessary for me. But I don't want to get the Bilstein and then wish I got the RSSC...hmmm decisions, decisions.....ha ha
