Black water latch 3051

My grey water latch clicks shut. My black water does not. How are others? I push it all the way in but like the click to know it is latched and closed.

Never "heard" of one "clicking" in a detent form.
I think the push pull rod must be hitting something giving you the "idea" that it hitting a detent .

When closing the valves you can feel them sort of "Click in" when they are fully seated. As long as it doesn't leak then it is fully closed. The cap, which should always be installed, is a second barrier to any potential leak.
