Black water tank flush not working

When I first got my 3051S in June the BW Flush worked fine but right away it stopped working. Sounds like a bad check valve to me. Water pressure builds up in the hose and only a trickle comes out of the sewer house. Plus it makes a loud whining sound in the wall.

Anyone else seeing this issue?

CReativepart, I have seen many posts on this topic. Just do a search. Many replace the valve with a metal one from Lowes or Home Depot. We are lucky, some had theirs installed backwards. I have only used mine twice and no problems. Some say they can get clogged too.
I wonder if using very warm water would make a difference and clean it out if clogged?

I really doubt it's a clog. Our RV had only been used twice for short weekend trips right after picking it up that it stopped working.

I found an access hole with a screw off plastic cover in the closet in the bedroom that backs up to behind the shower. The check valve is in there. But it's just about impossible to get in there to work.

I'm going to call the local FR dealer and make an appointment to get this fixed under warranty. We'll see just how good a dealer this local guy is. I purchased mine from a dealer 4 hours away. This local dealer had no new 3051S's in stock and tried to sell me a used 2014 for $5,000 more than the new one cost from the dealer 4-hours down the road.

He's a big Motorhome dealer though with a shop here near San Antonio and an even bigger well known dealership up in the RV capital of Texas... Alvarado, TX.

Have a 2012 3011...black flush has never worked. Forgot to mention it the two times we've had it in for warranty work. Do any of you know where this check valve's location in this unit?

Well, I just called the service dept and... NO PROBLEM! That was a pleasant surprise. Outside of them being 1-month out on service appointments they said no problem doing warranty work.

So, it goes in on Nov 17th and they said they'd get it done in 4 or 5 days.

My local dealer is Ancira RV in Boerne, Texas.

I'm so happy to hear them not give me any problem about bringing in warranty work even though I purchased at a different dealer. That's a relief.

I also have an appointment at Ancira RV for 2 warranty items plus a lot if other non warranty concerns. Hope they get it all handled. Has anyone tried the blackwater tank wand lije they have at CW? Our rig didn't come equipped and already the indicator shows 2/3 full even though it's completely empty.

I have a SunSeeker and they did mine at Goshen. Removed drawer in bathroom and valve was located there. Took longer to remove drawer than to fix. I watched.

My "self installed" tank flush whines when it is working. I can also hear the water hitting the tank sides as it spins. last sunday I was rinsing the black tank and only had a trickle coming out. it took a while, but eventually a large ball of "wet wipes" washed out then the flow returned to normal. You may a obstruction in the tank as well. I know who put the wet wipes in there and that wont happen again. good thing she's my kid......

Lexi2007...Yes we have the wand that you connect to a water hose and stick the wand down the toilet. Works great.

While I had my 3051s at the dealer for service I had them check this problem out. Of course, the black water flush system worked normally.

We're going camping on Wednesday - any bets on whether it works for me or not??

Mine didn't work either. I took it back to the dealer and they took care of it under warranty, in about an hour. They found sawdust and other construction crap in the line...don't ask me how it got there. Also, after looking at that cheap plastic check valve that everyone says leaks eventually, I bought a brass check valve that won't leak and replaced the plastic one.

I'm seeing just a little leakage at the check valve in my unit. Can anyone tell me the part number or description so I can get one at HD or Lowes?

This is the one I installed based on other forum members advice. LF7R Lead Free* Brass Dual Check Valves, Dual Checks / Dual Checks with Atmospheric Vent, Backflow Prevention - Watts

This is where I bought it - the photo they show isn't correct - they shipped the unit posted above.
0072206 - Watts 0072206 - 1/2" x 1/2" LF7RU2-U2 Lead Free Dual Check Valve

I added a 90 degree brass elbow on the outflow and a 1 inch long brass nipple on the input side to get it to fit in my setup.

I just removed the valve and I don't think it is working properly. Regardless, I'm going to replace it. Bob...do you have the HD SKU number for the brass part?
