Broken Dexter Forester Screendoor latch

I tried bringing up a 2 year old thread about this subject because I have the exact same door handle, that broke in the exact same place - but the forum software wouldn't permit it. So, I'm posting about it anew.

Here's a link to old thread I couldn't add my post to due to age:

http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...buy-73696.html

Here's the photo of the broken latch. The part that's broken off isn't showing in this image. This is the photo of the other guy's latch but mine broke in the exact same place.

I've been all over looking for the part and no one seems to have it.

There are no part numbers on it and I can't even find any info about it online.

Hopefully someone can respond and let me know where to find some info on it. Heck if anyone can even just provide the part info so I can find it online I'd sure appreciate it.

I kept searching after posting this and finally found it.

Here's a link to the part number.

Dexter Screen Door Latch Assembly, 0267304 (4725-06)

Once I found the part number I searched for other places to buy this but strangely enough only this Pacific RV Parts place came up no matter how much I searched.

This part seems to be another difficult part to source on my Forester 3051s. Just like the Clearance Light lens for my RV that are made of unobtainium.

I haven't done so for this issue Joshua. But in the past when I have called FR Parts I've not had any luck getting the parts I've needed.

I'm staying at an RV park that has a FR dealer right across the street. I checked with them and they said they didn't have any and didn't know where to get them. They added that they could try to order it from FR but that, and I"m quoting,"sometimes we have trouble getting parts like this from Forest River."

They said others had been in their shop asking for the part before but that it was an unusual part and not one anyone seems to carry.

As I indicated I did finally find one online and have ordered the part with rush shipping to my RV Park in Tucson.

That search, like the link you provided, did not turn up any correct parts or suppliers for the part needed. As I posted previously I did find the correct part after further searching and it should be here tomorrow.
