Cable TV setup at Full hookup campground

I have satellite, but my site last week at Trailer Village at the Grand Canyon had the dish blocked by trees. Never had to use the cable connection and couldn't recall what CreativePart on this forum told me about hooking it up. I know to connect the cable connection on the side of the RV to the campsites cable box. But inside I'm lost!
I have the Winnegard 3 connection outlet with the little cable loop going from the top to bottom connections with the center going to satellite receiver (not shown in photo). The other Winnegard plate has the antennea amp button that is off, 12v plug and another cable connection that I believe goes to the TV. Anyone using cable recall how to hookup?

We just hooked up to cable last week when we camped at an RV park in Pismo. We connected the wire to the outside connection on the RV and to the campground box. Inside I turned the booster and antenna off. Then did the channel scan.

We do the same thing. Just make sure your tv is set to cable not antenna before scanning.

same set up

I have the same set up as the pics - connected cable to outside but tv would never find "cable" to scan. Hooked park cable directly to tv and it worked like a charm. What am I missing?

Sometimes the factory hooks the wires up wrong. Very frustrating but you need to check all connections behind. the wall plates. Trace everything out. You can use a tone generator or a device with lights I picked up at lowes for $30.00. Lastly you could take it to an rv shop but I don't recommend that route.

I went through a similar deal with my sunseeker.

Thanks Charles

I'm terribly new at this motorhome. Keep reading about turning off the satellite "booster" but can't find anything that tells me where that is.

You might have to feel for the button, it is located on the plate next to where the cable comes in. The cable blocks the view, but feel with your fingers.

To be exact, it's not a satellite booster... it's an antenna booster as in over the air TV antenna.
