Calling 3051 owners!

Just put a deposit on a new 2015 (got a great deal, I think) so I'm asking all you owners for tips and things to look out for that you have run across with your rigs. Thanks in advance!

Just a warning that you're going to love your new Forester an abnormal amount. And this will lead to wanting to go on extended trips all the time. Plus friends and neighbors will be jealous when they see your RV in the drive getting loaded for yet another new trip.

I know that everyone thinks their RV is the best, but the 3051S is far and away the best floor plan available in this size and price range.

Congratulations, finally did it! Isn't that the one with the huge slide-out? CreativePart is right about the friends and neighbors!

No 3011's in inventory and the 3051 is a 2015 leftover so they were willing to deal. Wife's not a fan of U shaped dinettes either but it does have great counter space

KJcachers- What options does it have? Are you going to be able to take it out before spring?

Lots of options. Not sure what you're looking for. I can hook it up in my driveway, except the water, so I will give all the systems a work out. Unit is already winterized so water testing won't happen until March.

Not full body paint, just the lower color. All the other stuff you listed along with the 15k AC with heat pump.

Forgot to check and took it for granted but does anybody know if there is a propane tap somewhere along the curb side for a grill hookup?

The propane hookup and grill was an option on my coach.

If not here is a connector you can get the screws onto the stock propane tank that lets you add a second tank and/ or hook up a propane BBQ.

I've got a Camp Chef 2 burner I carry with a 20lb grill bottle so it's not a big deal.

You should get the tank adaptor because the stock coach propane tank is pretty small.

Sounds like a plan for those chilly fall outings so I don't have to worry about running out using the furnace. Heat pump should help with that too, to a point.

propane tank extend-a-stay

Now that you brought it up, I am having to refill the tank about every 2 trips. I don't like it dropping past 1/3. I think I asked on another topic, but has anyone added one of those tank adapters and used a separate jug of propane to supplement the main tank? And does the adapter push the regulator beyond the grey plastic dust cover?

Oh, I'm in trouble now, got to go help the DW with the Christmas lights!
