Carefree Awning Supports

I just set up my new carefree awning supports onto my 18 ft Solera Smart arm awning. I have a 2018 FR 2501TS. They are a support pole with a tie down strap. I am looking to resist some of the up and down on the control arms when I have them set for drainage.

Anybody else using them?

Spiker, thanks. I did three searches and got lots of hits (wherever support or awning was mentioned). I couldn’t capture the carefree awning support. My bad.

Any downside as long as I don,t let a full thunderstorm catch them out?

FWIW, the OP is talking about actual "store-bought" awning poles made by the manufacturer.

I know others here have mentioned them previously. I don't have any personal experience with them, but I don't know that I like the fact that the strap goes around the roller itself.

First day. Winds gusting 5 to 7, no awning bounce. Set up time less than 10 minutes. End of day take down, less than 5 minutes. They fit easily into my pass through. Cradle is a perfect fit to my roller. All in all, perfect for my need. They are not “robust”, but could be just enough to save an awning if I get caught by sudden weather.
Thanks. rch
