Clunking noise

Hi everyone!
I have a new 2015 Forest River forester which I love. Tonight I turned on the battery dial in the step well area, and a few seconds later I heard a low thunk under the cedar lined closet/cupboard area. I turned the battery dial to off, waited and turned it on again and heard the same thunk after a few seconds. I tried it about 4 times and the thunking continued. The battery is working; things are turning on or off with the turn of the dial as they should, but the thunking makes me nervous. Does anyone have any ideas what this could be and if I need to be concerned?
Love this forum and all you super smart mechanically gifted people!😄

My bet it's the subwoofer. Happened on mine too. Drove me nuts trying to figure it out.

Turns out my radio was bad, replaced and now only hear the thump occasionally.

Inverter

Thank you for your reply Wanderer! My husband spoke to the dealership and he said it was the inverter (or maybe converter) I can't remember which one my husband said. The radio was not turned on at the time though they
did turn it on for the run through and the gps was used for the trip back home.
The tech guy said it was normal I guess, and nothing to be concerned about.
Happy wandering!😃

There is a relay to allow charging of chassis battery once the voltage on the coach batteries is sufficient high enough. I think it is called a BIRD relay. Normal to hear it clunk.
