Condensation on bathroom ceiling.

I am camping at Myrtle Beach this week, and am constantly wiping condensation off of the ceiling in the bathroom. It forms along the a/c vent line, and can become quite heavy at times. The Bathroom stays a bit warmer than the other rooms, I believe due to the skylight over the shower area, so I have been leaving the door open, but the condensation still collects. Has anyone else experienced this in high humidity areas? What are your suggestions, other than wiping it off constantly? Thanks.

If you have a vent fan it's recommended to always have that open and running during showers or other use that might cause a lot of moisture to be present. In hot/humid areas sometimes all you can do is wipe and wipe some more.

Like first post, you're dealing with high humidity and the cool air in the AC ductwork causing condensation. Wipe, wipe, and wipe some more.

Consider replacing the skylight with a MAXX-Fan with remote if the skylight is the typical 14"x14".

This is typical in high. Humidity and running ac its the cold air from ac. If you touch where the condensation is you will feel its very cold from the AC air passing g by it. As said previously wipe wipe wipe.

possibly put small fan in the area pointing up to circulate air in/out of that area

Is there any way you can add more insulation between the ceiling and the AC ductwork? Something as simple as a 1" thick piece of semi-rigid fiberglass insulation might slide in under the duct (probably flex) and the ceiling, and this would isolate the duct from the ceiling and eliminate the cold spot on the ceiling that precipitates condensation.

X2. The roof vent fan is not circulating enough air to dissipate the condensation. A fan on the shower floor directed straight up would most likely evaporate the condensation.

If you have a vent open in the bath area without the ceiling fan running, it is possible that the hot moist air is entering via the vent and condensing on the ceiling. That hot/moist air would hold to the ceiling and condense.

In mine the duct is cut into the insulation. No room to slide any extra in!

We had the same problem while we were there a couple of weeks ago. The throw rug we keep in there got pretty damp. Due to the humidity and the fact that my DW and 3 granddaughters prefer 65 degree temps sort of caused the problem. When am I going to learn that $100 sites And $50 golf carts are not going to compete with cool temps and cell phones

I keep the bathroom a/c vent almost completely closed and it still stays comfortable.
We haven't experienced any ceiling condensation in our 3051.

We keep the temp in the mid to low 70's and a 50 - 60% humidity reading. Anything above 60% humidity feels sticky.

What are you using to read your humidity levels?

Same brand as the fridge & freezer temp sensor I bought.
Most likely from Amazon.

That's smart! And you use a dehumidifier too?

No separate humidifier.
That's the air conditioners job if it can keep up.
