Dinette bed problem

Hello, hoping someone here can help us. DH and I are so new to RVing we're not only wet behind the ears, we're wet all over. Have just purchased our very first RV, a 2004 Forester 27 ft. (don't know what the 4-digit numbers are that you are all using). Have so far done 3 weekend trips.

Our problem is that we can't figure out how to lower the dinette table to make a bed. Finally did find the release button to fold the leg, but the part of the table that is attached to the wall does not come loose by any means we can find. Is there a release somewhere that we are missing?

There is no Forest River dealer or Camping World in Alaska to ask.

The only dinettes/beds I'm familiar with are the ones that the leg folds under and the table detaches from the wall to make a bed. The other, which I have, has a latch under the table that when unlatched allows the table to be pushed straight down into the bed position.
I'd be interested to know if you were able to figure it out.

PA, Welcome to the Forest River Forum. A 2004 is considered an antique in RV years. You are going to need Geezers to help you. (I may qualify). But the best way is to post a picture(s) of the issue so the gang can see what you have. There is a pic posting tutorial here; http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...html#post49621
