Do I need to winterize? 2016 3051s

Just moved from California to Maryland and will be using the coach through the winter do I need to winterize or am I good my fresh water tank is empty now same with gray water black water tank has about 3 gallons and the solution in it. Any help is appreciated.

So, yes you will need to winterize by the time the temp falls below freezing for more than a brief period (a couple of hours at 30 probably won't hurt anything but a few hours at 25 could freeze some things). Even though you have drained the tanks, there is still a LOT of water in the lines as well as the water heater and the lines, faucets, fixtures, toilet, sprayer hose, connectors, water heater, etc. can all freeze and burst either during the winter or in the spring when water pressure is applied - some of which may be hidden within the walls or under the floors. Even small droplets can crack a fixture.

There are multiple methods for winterizing. Dealers will do it but it is not overly difficult for a DIY-er to do yourself in an hour or two depending on how you do it. Please see here for lots of information:

Yes, most definitely. The tanks themselves (unless very full) are not the biggest concern...but everything else in your fresh water system and your traps in the drain line not to mention the toilet will be hurting in the spring if you don't winterize in your area. You'd have to go a good bit farther south to avoid it....

I'm in Virginia and I winterize. We have long stretches of sub freezing temps so you have to winterize. I use the antifreeze but have friends that use an air compressor and just blow out all the lines and dump some antifreeze down the drains for the traps.

You need to winterize blowing out lines and a little antifreeze in the p traps will be fine just do it right a small electric heater in the Rv would be another safety procedure after blowing the lines and traps
