Drop Hitch suggestions for a 3051S?

For those towing a dolly, which drop hitch do you use or what length/size? Need to make a purchase soon.

I use a 2 1/2 drop hitch, this puts me at a 14" tongue height. Tongue is level which you want if using a surge brake dolly.

Close enough or do I need to go down to a 3" drop? This is a 2" I had from a previous life.Click image for larger version

BTW, the hitch in this pic is rated for 6000lbs and 600lb tongue weight. Good enough for a Ford Fiesta I am assuming.

No problem on the weight, looks like you got the height ok , you just want to keep that surge level as possible.

The dolly is good, tows well, very well constructed. The only thing I don't like is the tie down ratchets for the wheel straps, to release the strap , the ratchet must be fully opened up and on my Sonic the handle hits the front lower valance. This could be only on my car , it sits very low, I get around it by just adjusting the ratchets slightly out towards the dolly wheels. On the whole I would recommend it. One other thing is I wish it had disc brakes instead of drum brakes, drums work well though.

Why I just bought the Acme. I was led to believe by their video that I was getting a shorter/wider tire but it came with 12'' tires 10 ply load range E. Contact Acme and they said the switched about 6 months ago. said this was a better tire. We will see. I think these are just easier to find in the wild and probably cheaper for them to purchase. If you look at the videos on Acme website you will only see the low,fat tires.
Were going to be pulling a Ford Fiesta. Hoping to get it up on the dolly this weekend in the driveway just to check for fit.
